2024 Celebrations

On the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC, it was wonderful to partner with Sunbury Aboriginal Corporation (SAC), Macedon Ranges Truth and Reconciliation Group (MRT&RG) and Sunbury Cobaw Community Health (SCCH).

We held two Film Screenings in Kyneton, Luku Ngarra-The Law of The Land and The Last Daughter. Both events were well attended, each created the opportunity for conversation and deeper thought on the issues faced by First Nations Peoples.

The Community and Family Day in Riddells Creek commenced with Uncle Ringo Terrick and his nephew Thomas who made us all welcome on Country with a beautiful Smoking Ceremony.  The day consisted of craft activities, story telling, face painting, a BBQ lunch and Wattleseed Biscuits and Lemon Myrtle Cupcakes for afternoon tea and a take home shortbread biscuit decorated with the Aboriginal Flag.

Watch this space for events in 2025.
