Romsey School of Equitation circa 1979 t/a Naibara Equitation EST 1984

Romsey School of Equitation began in my gap year (1979) after an Arab photographer, Pat Slater suggested I accept local teaching requests. Thornton Park had many show successes in Victoria in that year. The following years I studied in the UK firstly with the show hack specialists and eventing and hunting yard Pinnocks Wood near Maidenhead for my BHSAI, and secondly with Crabbet Park Equitation Centre Crawley W Sussex for my Intermediate studies.

In 1984 I launched Naibara Equitation which I worked out of Valley Park Stud (across the road) where I took in liveries, broke in young stock, gave weekly courses as well as on-site riding and stable management lessons, longe lessons, and gave off-site lessons and re-education to those unable to bring their mounts to Kerrie.

Now we work out of Thornton Park only, with a much reduced Stud. Lessons are still available (singular, voucher or weekly course) and of course livery is still available. Riddells Creek and Lancefield pony clubs and adult riders clubs are 10-15 minutes away and are much more advanced now. We still have the same telephone number, (04) 5429 5344 and of course I have a mobile which is only available when I am not teaching.

You do not need a love of any particular breed or field of Equitation to feel at home at Romsey School Of Equitation. We will be pleased to hear from you.
