Mount Gisborne Reserve is an ecologically and geologically significant location that supports flora species of national importance.
Biodiversity at the reserve is actively managed by Council and the community to conserve and enhance its values and to provide resilience to this endangered vegetation community.
The Mount Gisborne Reserve is currently zoned Public Park and Recreation Zone (PPRZ). A Significant Landscape Overlay (SLO2) covers the entire reserve.
