Gisborne, Fersfield Road - Road Reconstruction

A section of Fersfield Road will be upgraded from Morrison Road to Bloomfield Road in Gisborne.  

The project includes:

  • about 600m of full road reconstruction, from east of Morrison Road to Bloomfield Road in Gisborne
  • concrete kerb and channel
  • completion of missing shared path link between Sheedy Road and Morrison Road
  • improved roadside signage as required.

These works are funded through the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program.

The project has now been awarded and is expected to commence early February 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2025, weather permitting. 

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
