Kyneton, Campaspe Place - Viewing Platform

The Kyneton viewing platform is located at the west side of Campaspe Place, adjacent to the Campaspe River in Kyneton. The viewing platform was heavily damaged during October 2022 flood event.

The project included:

  • replacement of existing timber viewing platform and balustrades with painted steel structure to suit ambient natural environment, slip-resistant fibre-reinforced polymer decking, and where appropriate, timber as non-structural element.
  • replacement of approach concrete connecting platform and new connecting shared path subject to traditional owners’ approval.  
  • periphery timber bollards.

These works were funded by the insurance claim and were delivered under Council’s Capital Works Program FY 2024-2025.

Works were completed by mid-January 2025.
