Kyneton, Lauriston Road - Road Reconstruction

A section of Lauriston Road will be upgraded between Youngs Road and Sebastopol Road in Kyneton.

The project includes:

  • upgrade and widening of the road, from east of Youngs Road for a distance of 1.2km towards Sebastopol Road
  • upgrade of existing roadside drainage
  • reinstatement of vehicle crossings, including installation of culverts
  • line-marking 

The works are scheduled to commence the second week of November 2024 and is estimated to take four weeks to complete, weather permitting. 

Local access for residents within the works zone will be maintained at all times.  Traffic management will be in place and the contractor undertaking the works will provide clear signage and verbal communication to direct residents and road users. 

We acknowledge that these works may result in some inconvenience and temporary changes, however Council will ensure all necessary steps are undertaken to minimise impacts on residents, businesses and road users. We thank you for your understanding and patience during these road improvement works. 

These works are funded through the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Program and is part of the 2024-25 Capital Works Program.
