Malmsbury, Kyneton-Metcalfe Road - Road Reconstruction

A section of Kyneton-Metcalfe Road will be upgraded from Fiddlers Green Road to Malmsbury East Road in Malmsbury.

The project includes:

  • about 770m of road upgrades on Kyneton-Metcalfe Road, north from 1140 Kyneton-Metcalfe Road (including about 100m into Malmsbury East Road for an intersection upgrade)
  • roadside drainage improvements
  • improved roadside signage as required.

These works are funded by the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Program and Council’s 2024-25 Capital Works Program.

The construction works have been awarded to a contractor, however, officers are awaiting an outcome of a Heritage assessment on the project site. The construction dates will be published once we receive the outcome of the Heritage assessment.
