Various roads - Bitumen Resurfacing Program

The bitumen resurfacing program is a renewal program for Council-managed sealed roads, which aims to improve the existing road surface.

Council implements the bitumen resurfacing program by resealing or asphalt overlays.

Reseal program

The existing sealed surface is resealed in this program by using spray seal, where aggregates are spread over a thin layer of bitumen to improve the road surface.

These works are scheduled to commence at the end of January 2025 and are expected to be completed by the end of March 2025, weather permitting.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.

Asphalt renewal program

The existing road surface is renewed with new asphalt in this program.

Officers are programming the asphalt renewal program while concurrently delivering identified road sections.

These works will be scheduled to commence at the end of January 2025 and are expected to be completed by mid-June 2025, weather permitting.

The following roads have been planned for delivery under this program in the 2024-25 financial year:

  • Alton Road, Mount Macedon - Completed

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
