Commercial and industrial developments
When considering new applications for industrial developments in the shire, we consider how the proposed development will impact on the location.
We look at the township characteristics and amenity; and take into account factors such as the community aspirations, existing infrastructure and any environmental constraints.
Each application is assessed against guidelines and other documents that help us manage the future direction of growth in the shire.
Before you prepare your application, you should review the Industrial Design Guidelines(PDF, 6MB) and if relevant, the township specific plans and guidelines.
You are also encouraged to organise a pre-application meeting before you submit any applications. Our Economic Development and Planning units can offer building and planning advice in relation to your proposal.
