C71 - Industrial Design Guidelines

Design Guidelines for Industrial and Commercial Developments were introduced into the Macedon Ranges Planning Scheme on 16 August 2012 through Amendment C71.

The guidelines are used in the preparation and assessment of permit applications for the following types of activities in the Industrial Zones and the Commercial 2 Zone throughout the shire:

  • subdivisions
  • buildings and works
  • advertising and car parking on land.

Please note: In 2013 the Minister for Planning introduced Amendment VC100 which deleted the Business 3 and 4 Zones and introduced a new Commercial 2 Zone. Where the Business 3 and 4 Zones are referenced in the Design Guidelines, the intent is that they apply to land in the Commercial 2 Zone
