The Macedon Ranges Planning Scheme is a statutory document which sets out planning controls for land in the Macedon Ranges Shire. It guides the use, development and protection of land in our region.
Councils are required to regularly review their Planning Schemes to ensure they are up-to-date and provide clear and relevant guidance.
The Industrial Design Guidelines (Amendment C71) must be considered when developing industrial or commercial land.
Council prepared a combined planning scheme amendment and planning permit application under Section 96A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.

ESO4 aims to protect the Eppalock Special Water Supply Catchment from inappropriate development and the proposed changes will not seek to alter the land affected by the ESO4 as it is considered necessary in maintaining the health of the catchment.

Council, at the request of the landowner, have prepared Amendment C153macr, which seeks to rezone 101-105 Willowbank Road, Gisborne from the General Residential Zone 1 to the Commercial 1 Zone to facilitate the development of a Local Activity Centre (LAC).
