Due to the risk to drivers and walkers, neither Council or VicRoads allow signage to be placed on the road reserve, however there are 37 possible locations that can be used to advertise community events for a two week period prior to the event. Community event signage must comply with the VicRoads Community Event Signage process that came into effect on 1 July 2016.

Note: depending on the type of event, you may need to provide other types of signage as part of your traffic management plan (if applicable). These requirements will be outlined in your application.

Gambling Advertisements

Advertising for any form of gambling on Council Land or on a road is prohibited under Council's Community Local Law 2023. For more details, refer to clause 12, page 15 of the Community Local Law 2023.
