Backyard Biodiversity Project Launch

Next date: Saturday, 22 March 2025 | 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM

Backyard Biodiversity

Are you a Kyneton resident looking to bring in native birds, bees and pollinators into the garden? The Backyard Biodiversity project could be for you!

Council is excited to pilot our Backyard Biodiversity project which aims to encourage urban residents to participate in wildlife conservation and climate action by creating wildlife-friendly gardens. This program will support local biodiversity by improving habitat connectivity for native species, increasing environmental awareness and engaging the Kyneton community.

Join us at this launch event where you can expect:

  • Learn and ask about the Backyard Biodiversity project.
  • Meet the Backyard Biodiversity team.
  • Meet other like-minded residents looking to increase habitat in their backyard.
  • Submit an expression of interest to participate in the Kyneton pilot.

Bring the family along and participate in a fun ‘seed ball’ making activity (muddy hands guaranteed).

Lets grow a greener future together, one backyard at a time
