Citizen science flora survey - Bald Hill Reserve

Next date: Friday, 25 October 2024 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Clover Glycine - Bald Hill Reserve

Help us survey the rare and threatened species, Clover Glycine at Bald Hill Reserve.

Join local volunteer citizen scientists to survey new areas of Bald Hill.

Bald Hill Reserve is home to the largest population in Australia and is only visible for a couple of months a year, as it emerges in spring and disappears back into the ground before the Summer heat arrives.

The survey provides essential data to improve our understanding of the extent of the populations. Each year, new areas are surveyed, providing an opportunity for a unique guided walk off trails with Council's Bushland Reserves Officer. Bookings are essential as spaces are limited.

What you need to know:

  • Wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear.
  • These walks are weather-dependent. We may cancel an event at short notice due to severe weather conditions such as extreme fire danger, wind and rain. We will give you as much notice as possible.
  • Numbers are limited and bookings are essential.
