Effective Conversations on Climate Change

Next date: Monday, 17 March 2025 | 06:30 PM to 08:30 PM

Ever felt overwhelmed by the idea of talking to friends and family about climate change? Perhaps confused on where to start? Around 80% of Australian's are concerned about climate change but are 'confused' on how to address it.

Social research shows that we make sense of confusing information and decide what to do about it through conversations with people we know and trust.

Hosted by the experts at Climate for Change, join us for this training in talking about climate change, theories of social change, and practical conversation skills. This workshop will help you to have supported conversations about climate change, re-engaging and regenerating the conversation of climate change.

This event is targeted at our local leaders of community groups, friends groups and active community organisations. If you'd like to start the conversation on how your community group can help us all take action on climate but not sure how to begin, this event is for you!

Climate for Change is a non-profit organisation that empowers Australians to have meaningful conversations about climate change to help combat eco-anxiety, avoidance, and apathy. Most Australians already know about climate change, and don’t need more information about it. In fact, they feel so overwhelmed with scary information that they try to ignore it, because they feel confused and powerless to do anything about it.
