Experience the mystery of Hanging Rock at night, with a guided night walk of the Reserve.

During the tour with our experienced ranger you may discover gliders, wallabies, native birds, bats, possums and other native animals, and if your really lucky you may even spot a koala.

Numbers are limited and bookings are essential. This walk is not suitable for children under the age of 8.

For further information and bookings please call (03) 5422 0387 or 0457 605 462

Also a few things to keep in mind:

  • Have tea before you come, duration of the walk can be between 2.5 – 3 hours
  • Wear comfortable footwear, bring a jacket
  • Bring your own water – there is no drinkable tap water on site
  • Please be at the Discovery centre at 7pm.
  • Entry to the Reserve is via the main entry, 139 South Rock Road, Woodend
  • You are welcome to bring a snack to have at the summit, but please remember there are no bins on the rock so any rubbish will need to be brought down with you.
  • Our Ranger will have a large, powerful torch/spotlight but you are welcome to bring your own torches as well.
  • If you have binoculars you are welcome to bring them.

Walks will only proceed if the minimum number of participants are met. We will be in contact the week of the scheduled walk should we need to reschedule your booking date.
