Survival Day Morning Reflection

You are invited to join us for a morning of reflection on the 26th January at the Macedon & Mt. Macedon Community House.

This will be an opportunity to begin the year with Truth Telling, where all Australians can come together to acknowledge, learn about and respect our nation’s history.

26th January is known as a Day of Mourning, Invasion Day or Survival Day. It is a day to recognise ongoing suffering and injustice, and the continuing strength, resilience and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. It is an opportunity for the Macedon Ranges community to come together to acknowledge and respect the past.

The event will create a safe space for all residents to reflect on our shared history as well as encourage participation and action from Macedon Ranges residents in the process of truth-telling and justice.
