There is a fire not yet under control in Willowmavin, currently travelling in a southerly direction - towns in the east of our shire covered by the alert include Chintin, Darraweit Guim, Monegeetta, Romsey and Springfield.

Total Fire Ban and Extreme Fire Danger Rating - 22 February 2025

The CFA (Country Fire Authority) has forecast an Extreme fire danger rating and declared a Total Fire Ban for Saturday 22 February 2025 for the Central district (which includes the Macedon Ranges). Some facilities will be closed. The Campout at Hanging Rock event has been cancelled.

Lancefield Golf Course

Lancefield Golf Club is located on the outskirts of the Lancefield township.

All golfers are welcomed at the Par 72, eighteen hole course in true country style.

The Course

The Par 72 course is best described as undulating. It features wide fairways and is lightly treed with several holes edged with dense pine plantations. The greens vary in size from 155 to 345 square metres. A winter and spring running creek meanders through the western part of the course and crosses seven fairways. Two large dams also come into play on some holes.

Membership

The club is always welcoming of new club members or casual players.
