A 2,379 hectare park that protects forested land along the ridge of the Macedon Ranges, which is located at the southern end of Victoria’s Great Dividing Range.
The park surrounds the highest peak of the Macedon Ranges, Mt Macedon, which is an extinct volcano rising 1,010 metres above sea-level. The mount is frequently covered in a blanket of snow during the winter months.
The park offers great opportunities for bushwalking, scenic drives and picnics. Enjoy magnificent views from the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross and the Camels Hump viewing platforms, or a picnic and barbecue at Sanatorium Lake.
There are many walking and cycling tracks throughout the park ranging in gradients and fitness levels.
