Open gardens
Four distinct seasons, ample rain, fertile soils and the dedication of local green thumbs contribute to the beauty of the gardens that flourish throughout the Macedon Ranges. Many are open to the public during the year and present excellent opportunities to get ideas for your own garden.
April and November are popular open garden months in the Macedon Ranges with some of the region’s best gardens on show in an explosion of autumn and spring colours.
Forest Glade Gardens and Bringalbit are the two main open gardens that are open year-round.
Kyneton, Malmsbury and Gisborne boast botanic gardens open to the public seven days a week.
