Coached squad
This is a fitness squad session with a social atmosphere, for any age or ability. There are lanes allocated according to speed and efficiency.
Teenagers come up from our Learn To Swim program and swim at these times with further stroke development and competitive techniques reinforced. Endurance and fitness is the goal, with all strokes swum and fine tuned.
Swimmers follow a set lesson plan with drills, time trials and endurance swim challenges set.
All swimmers have the option to join the teens in their individual races and relays at the end of each session.
Also brushing up on survival swimming and rescues that swimmers practice in preparation for their Bronze medallion and lifeguard training.

Junior squad
Level 9 Life Saving Victoria Junior Swim and Survive
This hour session involves competitive stroke development, endurance, preparation for school swimming sports, and includes further rescue and survival swimming techniques. Participants need to have completed Level 8 and have a trial assessment.

Pre squad
Level 8 Life Saving Victoria Swim and Survive
Students participating in Pre squad need to have completed Level 7 Swim and Survive. A trial assessment is encouraged to determine if student is ready for the hour session of stroke development, water safety and survival techniques. Introduction to competitive techniques for all strokes and diving is included.

Cost
The cost of the Pre squad and Junior squad training program is the same as normal Learn To Swim lessons.
New students are welcome to join and are encouraged to book in for their free swim assessment to determine their competency for these sessions.
