Swinburne Avenue Children's Centre

Located between the main town centre and New Gisborne, Swinburne Avenue Children’s Centre is a two-room kindergarten with a large shared outdoor play area.

Our large and inviting natural play spaces include a challenging climbing structure, a bike bath, a stage area for performances, cubby houses, veggie garden, fruit trees, worm farm and composting. Our service values play based learning as the tool to support children’s learning and development. Educators take an active role in engaging with and supporting children and families. Developing partnerships with our children and families is highly valued. 

Our centre has been part of the Gisborne community for 30 years. It has developed strong links to our local community and is closely associated with the local primary schools in our area. We involve many of the local community services within our programs such as CFA, police, ambulance, dentist, veterinary and medical services.
