Baynton, Martins Road - Bridge and major culvert upgrades
The Martins Road culvert is located over Todds Creek, Baynton, 1km east of the Feeneys Lane intersection.
This project included:
- replacement of existing culvert with double 2.1m wide and 1.8m high box culverts
- works upstream and downstream to prevent erosion and improve the waterway
- new guard rails and signs for road users safety
- road repairs and drainage improvements.
These works were funded jointly by the Australian Government Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program Phase 4A and Macedon Ranges Shire Council.
The works started on Monday 4 March 2024 and were completed by the beginning of June 2024.
Council acknowledges valuable input from Traditional Owners (Taungurung) and Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (GBCMA), and thanks residents for their patience.
