Next date: Tuesday, 03 September 2024 | 10:30 AM to 03:30 PM

The Healthy Landscapes Program and Upper Deep Creek Landcare Network invite you to a cultural education session by the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.

This session will include information on how landholders can identify and protect Aboriginal Cultural Heritage they may find on their property.

A Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony, and tour of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage listed greenstone quarry site, Will-im-ee Moor-ing (i.e. Mount William Stone Axe Quarry), will be included.

Will-im-ee Moor-ing is a site of important cultural heritage significance to the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung People.

This event is particularly aimed at landholders in the Mount William and Lancefield areas, with the aim of learning more about the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage of the local area.

Lunch will be provided.

Be aware this is an outside event, so make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and a minor level of fitness and mobility is required.
